The Lady Broncs came out strong during their opener at home on Friday night. They defeated the Green River Lady Wolves 65-36. “We played very well,” said Head Lady Broncs Coach Sean Yeager, “It was a good game, and we played hard.” Sheridan outscored Green River 7 to 3. The Lady Broncs scored 28 points in the first quarter while the Lady Wolves scored 12. In the second quarter Green River scored more points than Sheridan. The Lady Wolves scored seven and the Lady Broncs scored six. Coming back after halftime the Lady Broncs scored twice as many points as the Lady Wolves, scoring 18-9 to bring the score to 52-28 at the end of the third. At the start of the fourth quarter Sheridan had a 24 point lead over Green River. Sheridan still hit them hard, scoring 13 points and only letting Green River score eight, bringing the final score to 65-36. “It was a great win, to be at home and it to be the first game of the season,” Yeager said.
The Lady Broncs next home game is on Saturday at 2pm against the Lady Wolverines from Riverton.
