The SHS boy’s soccer season came to an end last weekend, May 16 and 17 in Rock Springs.
Finishing third, the boys beat Rock Spring Thursday May 16, the first day of the tournament. They won 2-0. “[We] played pretty well…it was a good win to start our tournament, “said Senior Hayden Richins.
The boys then took a tough loss on Friday, losing to Gillette in a 3-4-penalty kick shoot out. “We played really well… it was probably the best game of our season, we just couldn’t score” said senior Richins. Although the score did not reflect the game, the SHS Broncs played extremely well over the weekend. “We always started really slow. We needed to have more intensity as a team,” said Richins.
With numerous bus trips, hotel visits and locker room talks, the boys became a tight knit family. When asked his favorite memory, Richins said “Either gang fights or the bus rides, they were always pretty fun. Bus Fever.”
